The Person Behind Your Freight

KLogics Transport is built on a simple idea. When a shipment matters, the person handling it should treat it that way. Here's how I got here.

Kenneth Holland, founder of KLogics Transport

It Started With Keeping Time

I started playing drums when I was five years old, and I still play today. Before I ever moved a single part, I spent years as a rock drummer. A drummer's whole job is keeping time for everyone else. You show up, you stay steady, and the band counts on you not to miss a beat. Timing, reliability and life on the road turned out to be good training for freight.

Getting the News Out Fast

Before logistics, I ran AirNation.net, a news site covering the airline industry, for about five years before selling it. News doesn't wait. If you're slow, the story belongs to someone else. That habit of moving fast and getting it right stayed with me, and so did a close look at how the airline business works.

Eight Years on the Delivery End

For the past eight years, I've handled first-mile and last-mile ground delivery of time-critical aviation parts. I'm also an active On Board Courier, which means I personally escort aircraft and electrical components on flights around the world. I've seen what downtime costs from the inside, and how one missed connection becomes everyone's problem.

Four Days in Dublin

A couple of years ago, I was couriering a shipment of very expensive Boeing fuel nozzles to Dublin, Ireland. When the flight landed, the nozzles weren't on it.

For three and a half days, the airline's baggage team gave me the runaround. I could have flown home and let it become someone else's problem. I stayed. On the fourth day I pushed back hard, and the shipment suddenly turned up. It had been sitting in a closet the whole time.

The nozzles reached the customer in time. I'm sure they would have liked them three days sooner, but I also believe they had written them off and never expected their courier to stick around in Dublin and find them.

That trip taught me something I bring to every shipment. When something expensive is on the line, you stay with it, and sometimes you have to push hard to get results.

Why I Started KLogics Transport

Life on the delivery end has a lot of freedom and adventure, but it can be a tough slog. I wanted a new challenge and a way to grow in the logistics business. KLogics Transport lets me bring what I've learned on the road to more shippers, matching each load with a vetted carrier and staying on it from pickup to delivery.

What You Can Count On

When you work with KLogics Transport, you get a personal touch and someone who stays with the job until it's done. Nights, weekends, whenever. You'll have one point of contact from start to finish, not a call center, and you'll always know where your freight stands.
